The Forbidden Scenery

Old Jack was a mechanic in the Air Force before he retired. In his lifetime, he had seen all kinds of fighter jets, and he was used to their deafening roar. But recently, something happened that made him feel a little strange.

A few days ago, the most advanced US military fighter jet crashed during a training mission. This wasn't anything new, because plane crashes happened from time to time. But the strange thing was that the Air Force headquarters had issued a ban, prohibiting all military personnel and their families from watching and spreading any videos about the crash.

Old Jack felt very puzzled. He felt that this was a bit abnormal. In previous crash incidents, although there would be investigations, there had never been a rule banning the viewing of videos. He suspected that there might be some secret hidden behind this crash.

He secretly searched for relevant information online, but found that all the videos had been deleted. Even on social media, there was no discussion about the incident. The internet seemed to be controlled by an invisible hand, and all messages that were unfavorable to the authorities were blocked.

Old Jack understood in his heart that the more they tried to cover it up, the more it meant that there was a problem. He decided to investigate the matter himself.

He found an old comrade-in-arms, Old Tom. Old Tom was now working at an aircraft maintenance company, and he knew a lot about the structure of airplanes. Old Jack told Old Tom about the incident, and Old Tom's face became serious after listening.

"Jack, this matter may not be simple," Old Tom said. "I heard that the crashed fighter jet was equipped with the latest high-tech systems. If it were leaked, it could cause big trouble."

"Could it be a technical malfunction?" Old Jack asked.

"Who knows?" Old Tom shook his head. "Anyway, this matter is strange. We'd better not delve into it."

Old Jack didn't want to give up. He felt that he had the right to know the truth. He began to look for people who might have seen the crash video. He learned from his comrades that a retired pilot was bragging in a bar the day after the crash that he had seen the entire crash process and recorded it, and posted it online, but it was quickly deleted.

He went through a lot of trouble and contacted that pilot. The pilot was very cautious at first, but after Old Jack's patient persuasion, he finally agreed to meet with Old Jack.

When they met, the pilot lowered his voice and said: "I saw it. The crash scene was too weird. The plane didn't crash directly to the ground, but suddenly disintegrated in the air, as if it was torn apart by some force. Moreover, I saw a strange light appear after the plane disintegrated."

Old Jack was terrified. He knew that this was definitely not a simple technical malfunction. He thought about the deleted videos, and about the Air Force's ban. He felt as if he were in a huge conspiracy.

He decided to tell the public about this matter.

Old Jack posted the results of his investigation on an inconspicuous website, and attached a video clip provided by the pilot, which although incomplete, was enough to explain the problem.

As a result, in less than a day, Old Jack's post was deleted and the website was blocked. He found that he had become like a person forgotten by society, and his voice was completely stifled.

He walked to the window, looked at the sky, and suddenly felt very sad. The country he had fought for all his life had now become like this. He had thought that he could enjoy his retirement after retiring, but he never thought that he would have to fight for the truth.

Old Jack picked up his phone and once again searched for information about the fighter jet crash. He found that the news reports stated that the cause of the crash was "human error."

He sneered, turned off his phone. He knew that the scenery he had seen had been forbidden. And those so-called truths were just lies carefully fabricated by the power. He looked at the sky. In the distance, several fighter jets roared past. Old Jack didn't know how many unspeakable secrets were hidden in the depths of the sky.
